In a crash on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, 13 passengers were injured to varying degrees.
The accident happened in the early hours of Sunday at Car Park C in Ogun State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) verified the collision to DAILY POST, stating that it occurred about 4:55 a.m.
Florence Okpe, the FRSC’s Ogun State spokesperson, said the agency’s operatives had responded quickly to carry out rescue operations.
According to her, the crash included 22 people, 21 male adults and one female adult.
“Twelve male adults and one female adult were injured.” “No one was killed in the crash,” Okpe stated.
She went on to say that the accident included three trucks with the license plates KBT205XB, KJA230Y, and DUT35XE.
It also involved a Toyota Corolla car with the license plate MUS793HM and a Toyota Hiace bus with the license plate FG369-F20.
The alleged reasons of the crash were a road obstacle and speeding, which she claimed caused her to lose control.
“The injured victims were taken to Farmobis Hospital Mowe Lotto for medical attention,” she went on to say.
Meanwhile, Anthony Uga, the FRSC’s Ogun Sector Commander, has warned motorists to always be cautious on the road and to drive defensively.
