Bright Okpocha, aka Basketmouth, a popular comedian, has invited his old opponent and colleague, AY Makun, to his gig in Lagos this Sunday.
He made the gift just weeks after publicly apologizing to AY and putting an end to their 17-year feud.
He did, however, state that AY will not be performing or making a cameo on stage at tonight’s event at the Eko Hotel & Suites because everything is scripted.
Basketmouth stated in a recent interview with Arise TV, “AY is not on the bill to perform, but he has a ticket.” He’ll be there. I sent his ticket to him a few days ago.
“I knew a lot of people were wondering, ‘Is he [AY] gonna perform?'” He isn’t on the list.
“In fact, I don’t have a lot of comedians on the bill.” I’m aware that Bovi is introducing me. Senator Dan The Humorous, as well as Aproko from Abuja, are on stage. I also got a couple people from Ghana.
“AY isn’t even allowed to make a cameo because my show is already planned.” We’re filming for television, so it’s a three-hour set. The men in charge of directing and producing have just recently arrived in the country.
“And we had already sealed the entire flow of the show before they even landed.” It’s not the type of show where anyone can just walk on stage. That’s not the case with this show. Everything has a timer. “Perfection in precision.”
