For allegedly participating in partisan politics during the recently concluded gubernatorial election in the state, the Kogi State Government has questioned Alhaji Abdulrasaq Gambo Isa Koto, the Ohimege-Igu Koton-Karfi and Chairman of the Kogi Local Government Traditional Council.
Barr. Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, put his name on the letter of inquiry.
The State Government has become aware of your participation in partisan politics, as stated in the enclosed letter.
Because of your actions, role, and participation in partisan politics, a crisis erupted under your watch that resulted in the murder of an innocent young lady and the injury of several others. This is taken very seriously.
“This open defiance of the role you’re supposed to play as a renowned Royal Father is quite disappointing. Worryingly, you didn’t seem to care that your actions were jeopardizing the State’s prized stability and security.
“In view of the aforesaid, you are hereby required to forward a written explanation within 48 hours why disciplinary action should not be taken against you. When the State Government convenes a panel to review your case, you may be asked to provide oral explanations as well.
Please, your Majesty, give the contents of this letter your undivided consideration.
