On Sunday, a member of the Kebbi State Police Command was killed in a single-vehicle accident.
According to the command’s image maker, SP Nafiu Abubakar, the lone accident reportedly occured along Koko/Jega route.
He said that nine police officers were being driven in a Toyota Land Cruiser jeep with the registration number 5465D when a tyre blew out on the way to a crime scene in Kendawa village, Dutsinmari, in the Koko/Besse local government region.
Inspector Said Idiya was killed, and eight others were injured; they are all being treated at Kebbi Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kebbi.
As the PPRO put it, “The late inspector has been buried according to Islamic rites while the injured officers are still in the hospital.”
