Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Mr Adewale Adeniyi thinks it’s important to draw on the experience of retired management officers.
Adeniyi made these remarks on Saturday in Abuja at the first gathering of former NCS management executives to discuss ways to enhance service delivery.
He claims that the officers’ long and distinguished careers in the NCS prompted the reunion so that they may be honored for their vast store of knowledge and devotion to duty.
He stressed the importance of pinpointing potential loopholes in the past’s effective utilization of these vital assets and plugging them.

There are no formal programs inside the NCS aimed at keeping retired officers active.
It has been suggested that the NCS develop specialized programs to promote efficient cooperation.
