Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) Vice Chancellor Professor Maduebibisi Iwe has formally requested that the National Universities Commission (NUC) reinstate a number of courses that were previously delisted from the institution.
Saturday night’s 11th annual convocation was the setting for the Vice Chancellor’s passionate plea.
Iwe who characterized the loss of the the courses as one of the key difficulties facing the University, bemoaned that the circumstance has barred teeming admission hopefuls from pursuing their favorite courses in the university.

He warned the school’s students against coming in late upon restart, saying that their tardiness was disrupting the academic schedule.
We also strongly suggested that all tuition and fees be paid directly to the university.
It has been noted that “even when they return, some of them play around and indulge in wasteful activities while lectures are going on.”
In his remarks as the University’s Visitor, President Bola Tinubu lauded Michael Okpara University of Agriculture’s administration and faculty for their dedication to achieving the university’s stated goals despite the difficulties facing Nigeria at the time.
