Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), an internationally renowned lawyer, recently stated that more than 70% of Nigerians today live in poverty.
Olanipekun used his native tongue, Ikere Ekiti, to express himself.
The legal icon pointed out that there was tension, unrest, worry, pressure, bewilderment, anger, anguish, pain, distress and transferred aggression among many people.
With the weight of insecurity it has carried for more than a decade, the situation in Nigeria is far more difficult, in his opinion.
“The poverty level in Nigeria today is not just scary but terrifying, as over 70% of Nigerians are rudderless and poverty-stricken,” he stated.
